Reading/Language and Math
Given to all students to identify those performing at or above grade level and students needing intervention services
Teacher administered in grades PreK-1; online test for grades 2-8
Given 3 times annually. August 2017, November 27-December 14, 2017 and April 30-May 18, 2018.
No grades given. Results will be shared with teachers and parents in order to plan instruction and RTI activities.
Third through Eighth (3-8)
Social Studies (field test)
To help measure how much a student grows academically over the course of a school year and to measure student achievement levels.
Multiple choice and constructed response.
April 23-May 4, 2018
Quick scores will be used as a percentage of the students’ final grades. Individual scores will be sent home with students in the fall of 2018.
New Optional grade 2 assessment
To help determine how students are performing at the end of 2nd grade with state standards

MSAA and TCAP-Alt (science and social studies)

For students with the most severe cognitive disabilities. To measure academic achievement with modified academic standards.

WIDA Access (state required for ELL students)
Reading, Speaking, Listening, and Writing
Evaluates English proficiency of English Language Learners
Given by a test administrator (K-1) or online (2-8)
Results will be shared with parents in the fall of 2018.
Progress monitoring through Aimsweb
Reading and Math
Determines how students are progressing toward grade level goals with intervention activities.
Given online for grades 2-8 or with a proctor for grades K-1.
Given every 2 weeks for students in RTI
Results will be shared with parents through RTI updates
